Iroquois Homes resident
Sandra Favez is one of four people in her family to upgrade
their education through the Louisville Metro Housing Authority
GED program. Recently, she and her brother Eric followed in
the footsteps of her Mother and older sister when they each
received their GED. Sandra, a student at Decker College, completed
her training as a medical office specialist in 2003. With
three small children, Sandra realized she needed to do something
to take care of them – and herself. Currently, Sandra is working
as a medical records clerk. "I feel pretty good about myself,"
says Sandra. Once she begins her career in the medical field,
she hopes to move into patient care.
